3.1 Database Content (Ligand–Receptor Interactions, Annotations, Orthology Mapping)

  • Licensed under Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International (CC-BY-NC 4.0).

  • ✅ Free to use, share, and adapt for non-commercial academic research and education, with required attribution (Liu P, Maezono S, et al., Nucleic Acids Research, Database Issue 2026 and https://connectomedb.org).

  • ❌ Commercial use (including integration into pipelines, diagnostics, platforms, or redistribution) requires a separate commercial license. Contact: help@connectomedb.org.

3.2 Software / Website Code

  • Built using Quarto 1.7+, distributed under the MIT License.

  • Users are free to reuse and modify the website/software code in both academic and commercial contexts, provided attribution is given.

3.3 Images & Visual Materials

  • Figures and diagrams were created using BioRender, covered under the BioRender Academic License.

  • These images are licensed for academic presentations and publications only and may not be reused for commercial purposes without BioRender’s separate commercial license.
